ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA / KFTA) – Easter weekend is in full swing in northwestern Arkansas.

Events were organized for the holidays throughout our region. The Ward family is happy to be back and celebrating after 2 years with COVID-19 that made them stay in. For their young daughter, this is the first time she gets the full Easter experience.

“That’s why it’s her first real Easter celebrating Easter egg hunts and all that, because last year we did not get to go to anything,” James Ward said.

Northwest Arkansas Pentecostals is hosting Easter party 2022 on Saturday. Church Administrator Jeremey McCkracken said it was great to see everyone out again.

“We are so happy to serve the community in this one way that we enjoy helping the community and doing various events,” McCracken said.

Although the rain turned the event into an Easter egg ride, McCracken said hundreds of people still turned up for the event. He is also happy to welcome people back to full Easter Sunday services.
