The social administration opens offices for the public

Social Security Administration offices have restored personal services to customers.

The services are even available to those who do not have an appointment, according to a press release from the Social Security Administrations

The Social Security Office in Texarkana is at 5735 Summerhill Road. It is open from kl. 9 to 16

To avoid queuing, SSA encourages anyone who is able to use the online services at socialsecurity.gov or call the local office to schedule an appointment instead of going in without an appointment. Customers entering without appointments may experience delays and long wait times.

Offices tend to be the busiest first thing in the morning, early in the week and in the early part of the month.

SSA requires certain safety measures for office visitors, including masking, physical distancing, and self-health checks for COVID-19 symptoms. Masks will be available if needed.

Individuals who create an account on socialsecurity.gov have access to personal services. They can request a replacement card online if they meet certain requirements. If they are already receiving social benefits, they can start or change direct payment online, request a replacement SSA-1099 and print or download a current confirmation letter from their account.
