WASHINGTON, April 8 (Reuters) – The Biden administration is closely monitoring a coronavirus blockade in Shanghai that could cause delays in air freight, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Friday.
Shanghai on Friday announced a record 21,000 new COVID-19 cases and a third consecutive day of COVID testing, as a shutdown of its 26 million people showed no signs of easing, and other Chinese cities tightened curbs – even in places without recent infections.
