PMI and ISM are slated to start the short trading week
Investors are taking a short break from the wild trading that will grip Wall Street next week. But as investors come back from their long Labor Day weekend, they can expect comments from Cleveland Federal Reserve president Loretta Mester, as well as a string of service data.
The earnings list looks relatively bare, although reports are coming in from American Eagle (AEO), Bilibili (BILI), Coupa Software (COUP), Dave & Busters Entertainment (PLAY), DocuSign (DOCU), GameStop (GME), Kroger ( KR ), Nio (NIO) and RH (RH).
The market was closed yesterday in observance of Labor Day. The final S&P US Services Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) as well as the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) services index are expected to be released today.

Kingsoft Cloud Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ:FLWS — $3.02) provides cloud services to companies and organizations in China. Kingsoft Cloud will report its 2022 Q2 results before the bell today.
Coupa Software Inc. (NASDAQ:COUP — $56.98) provides a cloud-based business expense management platform that connects its customers with suppliers around the world. Coupa Software will report its Q2 2022 results today after hours.
GitLab Inc. (NASDAQ: GTLB — $48.31) develops software development lifecycle software in the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. GitLab will report its Q3 2022 earnings today after the close.
Guidewire Software Inc. (NYSE:GWRE — $68.51) supplies software products for non-life and non-life insurers worldwide. Guidewire Software will report its 2022 Q2 results today after the close.
UiPath Inc. (NYSE:PATH — $16.10) provides an end-to-end automation platform that provides a range of robotic process automation (RPA) solutions, primarily in the United States, Romania, and Japan. UiPath will report its 2022 Q2 results today after the close.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, Loretta Mester, president of the Cleveland Fed, will speak on Wednesday. An update of the International Trade Balance and the Beige Book is also planned.
