
Utah Hospital in Millcreek, St. Mark’s reached zero milestone for COVID-19 patient cases since 2021
MILLCREEK, Utah (ABC4) – A Utah hospital is celebrating a new kind of COVID-19 milestone this week.
For the first time in 11 months, health professionals are on St. Mark’s Hospital in Millcreek reported zero COVID-19 patients currently living in the hospital.
“We have hit another INCREDIBLE milestone in the COVID-19 pandemic here at St. Mark’s Hospital … Today we are pleased to report that we have ZERO # COVID19 patients in our facility,” says the hospital staff.
Last time St. Mark’s so zero COVID-19 patients were on May 18, 2021, a total of 431 days ago, the hospital says.
“We came together as a team and as a hospital and provided care, and we often learned as we ran along,” says Jennifer Jellerson, Critical Care Director at St. Mark’s Hospital.
Hospital staff say it is a relief now to focus on treating patients with other ailments and medical needs.
“What a journey it has been … But together we have come a long way – as health colleagues and as a community,” say the hospital staff. “Even though we cannot predict the future, days like today give us HOPE.”
