Walmart changes COVID-19 policies

Vaccinated Walmart employees are no longer required to wear a mask at work.

Walmart updated its COVID-19 partner policy on Friday.

In a note obtained by CNNinformed the company that vaccinated workers only need to wear a mask if required by the state or local government.

Unvaccinated workers and those working in clinical care settings, including pharmacies, will be required to continue wearing face masks.

In addition to these policies, Walmart is also making changes to its sickness benefit policy.

Previously, employees were paid extra in addition to sick leave if they tested positive for COVID-19.

Walmart will get rid of this policy in March, except in places where it is required by the state or local authorities.

In addition, the dealer will no longer perform daily health examinations in most places.

Screenings will continue in California, New York and Virginia, where required.

Policy changes at Walmart are now in effect.
