Weld County case, test and outbreak data for the week of November 24 – Greeley Tribune

Weld County officials reported 912 new cases of COVID-19 in the past week as the total number of cases in the county since the start of the pandemic has risen to 52,077.

The county’s one-week average positive test rate is 11.22%, up from 11.77% a week ago. In the Greeley area, that percentage is 9.65%, the lowest in the county. Southeast Weld now has the highest percentage in the county, at 13.55%. Southwest Weld’s rate fell to 13.1%.

There are 352 COVID-19 patients in Weld’s regional hospitals, up from 334 a week ago. Of those patients, 115 are in provincial hospitals. There are 35 hospital beds and five ICU beds in the region. Seven of those hospital beds and four of those IC beds are located in the province.

About 22.4% of patients in regional hospitals are COVID-19 patients. Within the province that percentage is 28.6%.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment reported 36 active outbreaks in Weld County this week:

  1. Elementum 3D, Inc.: 11 Human Resources. Outbreak reported Tuesday.
  2. Lochbuie Elementary School: 16 student cases and three staff cases. Outbreak reported Monday.
  3. Grace Pointe Continuing Care Senior Campus Assisted Living: Two Staff Cases. Outbreak reported Monday.
  4. Greeley Central High School: 41 student cases and seven staff cases. Outbreak reported on Nov. 19.
  5. Five Rivers Cattle Feeding, LLC – Kuner Feedlot: Six Human Resources. Outbreak reported on Nov. 10.
  6. Stephen’s Farm in Adeo Colorado: three human resources. Outbreak reported on Nov. 9.
  7. Columbine Commons Health and Rehab LLC: Six resident cases and two staff cases. Three residents died. Outbreak reported on October 27.
  8. Columbine Commons Assisted Living: 10 cases of residents and four cases of staff. A resident died. Outbreak reported on October 26.
  9. Weld County Jail: 12 resident cases. Outbreak reported on October 26.
  10. JBS Greeley Beef Plant: 18 personnel cases. Outbreak reported on October 25.
  11. John Evans Head Start Center: two cases of attendees and four cases of staff. Outbreak reported on October 21.
  12. The center at CenterPlace: 11 cases of residents and five staff cases. A resident died. Outbreak reported on October 20.
  13. Fairacres Manor, Inc.: Seven Human Resources. Outbreak reported on October 19.
  14. Windsong at Northridge: Four cases of residents and four cases of staff. A resident died. Outbreak reported on October 11.
  15. Valley High School: 17 student cases and one staff case. Outbreak reported on October 8.
  16. Weld County Justice Services – Alternative Programs: Four cases for residents and four cases for staff. Outbreak reported on October 7.
  17. Firestone Charter Academy: 45 student cases and six staff cases. Outbreak reported on September 30.
  18. University schools: 179 student cases and 26 staff cases. Outbreak reported on September 17.
  19. Northridge High School: 50 student cases and six staff cases. Outbreak reported on September 10.
  20. JBS Corporate: 53 staff cases. Outbreak reported on August 5.
  21. Aspen Ridge Preparatory School: 29 student cases and four staff cases. Outbreak reported on September 17. No new cases since the week of November 10.
  22. EZ Excavating, Inc.: 13 staff cases. Outbreak reported on Nov. 9. No new cases since the week of November 10.
  23. Ashley Manor – Evans 2: Nine residential businesses. Outbreak reported October 5. No new cases since the week of November 10.
  24. Garden Square of Greeley: two staff cases and one resident case. Outbreak reported Nov. 8. No new cases since the week of November 10.
  25. The Children’s Courtyard of Frederick: four cases of attendees and two cases of staff. Outbreak reported October 8. No new cases since the week of November 3.
  26. The Bridge at Greeley: 28 resident cases and seven staff cases. Outbreak reported October 20. No new cases since the week of October 27.
  27. Weld Central Middle School: 14 student cases and three staff cases. Outbreak reported October 22. No new cases since the week of October 27.
  28. University of Northern Colorado Football Team: 10 student cases and seven staff cases. Outbreak reported on September 17. No new cases since the week of October 20.
  29. Frederick High School: 36 student affairs and two staff affairs. Outbreak reported on September 17. No new cases since the week of October 13.
  30. Grandview Elementary School: 31 student cases and three staff cases. Outbreak reported on September 2. No new cases since the week of October 13.
  31. Coal Ridge Middle School: 19 student cases. Outbreak reported October 8. No new cases since the week of October 13.
  32. Jefferson High School: seven student affairs and three human resources. Outbreak reported on September 2. No new cases since the week of October 13.
  33. Frontier Academy Secondary School: 22 student cases and two staff cases. Outbreak reported on September 21. No new cases since the week of October 6.
  34. Greeley West High School: 28 student cases and two staff cases. Outbreak reported on September 21. No new cases since the week of September 29.
  35. Ashley Manor – Evans 1: Six resident files and seven staff files. Outbreak reported on August 31. No new cases since the week of September 29.
  36. Greeley Place Independent Living: Nine Residential Affairs and One Human Resources Department. Outbreak reported on August 17. No new cases since the week of August 18.

Greeley-Evans School District 6 reported 39 students and no adults in quarantine as of Thursday. Jefferson Junior High is distance learning through Monday.

According to provincial data, 463 Weld residents have died as a result of COVID-19, up from 12 in the past week. The state reported 525 deaths among people with the virus in Weld, up from 16 since last week. The state also reported 14 new deaths from COVID-19 in Weld, for a total of 414.

The state reports that Weld County has identified 1,503 cases of the delta variant.

The state positivity rate is 8.99%, according to state data. Johns Hopkins University reports that the national positivity rate is 6.1%.

Weld County reported on Nov. 19 that 16,525 residents have received their first doses of two-part COVID-19 vaccines, and 167,116 residents, 54.8% of the population age 5 and older, have been fully vaccinated. Booster vaccines have been administered to 30,168 people in the province.

The state reports that 4,055,022 people in the state have been immunized with one dose, and 3,632,575 people, 73.29% of the population age 12 and older, have been fully immunized. A total of 961,596 people received supplemental doses.
