Woman allegedly COVID-19-positive charged with assault on another woman | Crime reports

Danville, Pa. – A woman who was allegedly COVID-19 positive allegedly assaulted an employee at Danville State Hospital in Montour County.

Pennsylvania State Police in Milton was sent to the hospital on Jan. 31 for a report of an assault on an employee, according to the arrest warrant. The employee had attempted to break a physical altercation between Margarita Maldonado, 30, and another person. Maldonado then reportedly grabbed the staff member’s hair, spat on her and bit her in the arm. Maldonado also pushed employees to the ground. Staff told police Maldonado had COVID-19 at the time, according to the statement.

Maldonado was charged with felony criminal mischief for felony criminal mischief for firing on a sculpture with a shotgun, according to district judge Marvin K. Shrawder.
