RALEIGH, NC (WITN) – Zero daily COVID-19 deaths were reported Thursday. The last time zero deaths attributed to the virus were reported was June 8, 2021.
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services reports that there was only one COVID-19 death on Wednesday.
It says the department’s data 1,982 admissions were reported on Wednesday, the most recent day with available data. That number is the lowest it has been since December 27, when 1,982 people were hospitalized with the virus.
The percentage of total COVID-19 tests that came back positive has also dropped, with 7.9% of total tests positive Tuesday, the most recent day with available data. The positive percentage is at its lowest point since November 16, when it was 7.8%.
